Go from skinny to muscular without having good genetics

The secrets that NO ONE tells you

2017

2022

Yes, believe it or not, this is me in both pictures.

Right now, you have two choices :

1: Get back to your everyday habits that won't change how your body looks. Forget about me and stair periodization. Miss one of the best opportunities of your life.

2: Decide to make changes today. Take about X minutes of the time you would have probably spent scrolling on social media and see if my story and this opportunity inspire you.

2 : Decide to make changes today. Take about X minutes of the time you would have probably spent scrolling on social media and see if my story and this opportunity inspires you.

If you chose the second choice, I am excited to share my secrets with you and take you to the next level! Let's get into it.

I am Charles-Philippe Bergeron and I am going to show you how to gain a lot of muscle without a good genetic.

Now I'm guessing that this is probably not the first time that you think about changing your body. The first thing I want to mention is that if you've failed at gaining muscles in the past, it's not your fault. There's a lot of information out there, and it can be confusing. Many times that information overload keeps you from success. It's okay.
If you've been concerned in the past that you just can't gain muscles, I want you to put those fears to rest. You can do this. You just need the right person to explain it to you.
The big influencers want you to think that ''a 10 minutes abs workout for 30 days will give you a six-pack'' or that ''eating keto will get you into Zack Efron shape''. I'm here to tell you that they are wrong. They were not skinny guys like us when they started training and all they want is to sell you their product. They will tell you anything so that you buy it!
If you ever thought that most personal trainers or fitness influencers do not give you the right tools for you to make as much progress as possible, you are right. If you get to understand how muscle growth works and make too much progress, you will not need them anymore, so they won't get paid. The difference with me is that I was just like you not long ago. I know what being skinny feels like and I truly want you to succeed.
So that's what we're here for. I know you have a dream to be muscular and more attractive. I will show you how to make this a reality during this presentation.

My goal is to help two type of people :

Skinny guys who have not started training yet and are waiting for the right time to start.
Guys who already started the gym but want to make more progress as fast as possible.

THE ORIGIN STORY

THE ORIGIN STORY

In the past 2 years, I've had an amazing chance to be a personal trainer here in Canada. I have been able to help many men go from shy and skinny to confident and muscular. But it wasn't always like that. In fact, just a short few years ago, I was just like you...
The year is 2017, I get back from school at 4:30 pm, I get in my bedroom, and open my computer before everything else. While the computer starts up, I take off my coat, go to the bathroom, get myself a glass of water and sit on my computer chair. As I see the screen fill up with my desk icon, I feel relieved. I am finally free from this day, I will get to feel a feeling of accomplishment for the first time today. I will destroy some strangers in league of legends...

As I start my 3rd league of legends game of the day, my mom comes into my room. The distraction makes me die in the game. In furry, I take off my headset and yell ''WHAT'' at her. She responds ''the food is ready''. Since everyone knows that you can't quit in the middle of an online game, I get to the kitchen 30 minutes later and eat alone. While I am eating, I check Instagram to see what my secret crush is doing. She posted a story!  As I open it, I get this dirty feeling that I am missing out on something, she is outside in the park with her friends 2 short miles away from me. To make up for this undesirable feeling, I get back to my room and destroy some more strangers in league of legends. I finally end my gaming session at 11:00 pm. I can't wait to see the girl at school tomorrow.
This was my life for pretty much 4 years. I weighed 125 lbs at a height of 5''10. I was playing video games for 5+ hours per day. I had zero self-confidence, no girlfriend, and I had to act like I was someone else so I could be friends with ''cool'' people.
I had the desire to become another person, I wanted to get more attention, look good and get into a relationship with the most attractive woman I could find.
I wanted to get my life together and become a beast like I was in video games. I needed to gain some confidence and upgrade my status.
I tried to hang out with ''cool'' people in my high school in the hope to be considered a ''cool guy'' too. The result was that I was the ''ugliest guy'' in the ''cool gang''.

THE WAKE UP CALL

It's a cold Friday night in September 2017. It's 9:00 pm, and I have been playing video games since 4:30 pm. However, today is a different day. As I shut down my computer, I feel a strange feeling in my stomach. I'm so stressed about what's going to happen tonight. I get my backpack and put 6 beers in it. It will be a long walk. Tonight I'm going to a party at an attractive girl's place! After a 25-minute walk, I finally get there, everyone is sitting on chairs around a campfire in the backyard. Being socially anxious, I hype myself up before approaching, and I go in. Greeted by 3 of my friends, I take a seat right next to them, open a beer and listen to them talk. This is it, I entered the party with no friction!
As the night goes on, some people get closer to the campfire. At this point, there are about 6 girls and 9 guys sitting around it. Some real talk is being made.

The girls start talking about what they find attractive about a man and what is a red flag. All the other guys and I are listening as closely as we can. They might give us the secret to being attractive!

Then they go on about how some guys are ''hot'' and some guys are just ''cute''. After a few examples of ''hot'' and ''cute'' guys, A genius in the group has the idea to ask them if he is ''hot'' or ''cute''. As expected, They say he is hot. Then another guy asks. And another one.

Naturally, my turn is coming, and I know it. (Surely they will say I'm ''hot'', right ?). It almost feels like I am going to war, my heart is pumping. I can't wait for one of the girls to tell me the truth.

Then a girl called ''Marie'' says something like this :
''Charles, mmmmmh, I think you are cute, what are you girls thinking?''.
the other 5 girls all agreed.
I am shocked, so I reply while hiding my shame:
''What ! why ?''.
''Well, your face is fine, but you don't have any muscles, I probably weigh more than you''.

This sentence right here grew a fire in my heart. For the rest of the night, all I could think was: ''You know what Marie, I will get as attractive and muscular as physically possible and make you regret what you just said''. This moment has been a big milestone in my life. I was determined to get muscular.

From there, only 3 things could stop me from achieving my goal :

1
My video game addiction was really bad. I was going to need a lot of willpower to overcome the lack of motivation caused by this addiction.
2
My genetics were really bad. I was the skinniest guy in my friend group. I had to find a way to overcome it and still grow muscles
3
Other people would make fun of me in the beginning because a was so skinny. Kind of like some people make fun of a 300lbs person on a treadmill. (that's so retarded I don't get it)

If I failed, I would be a skinny gamer for the rest of my life, I would not get as much respect as I would like and I would never find a girlfriend that satisfies me. I was ready to begin this journey.

THE NEW OPPORTUNITY

As soon as the high school gym opened, my geek friend and I hyped ourselves and got an annual subscription. My first workout consisted of doing every single machine in the room for 3 sets of 10 repetitions. In the middle of the session, I had to take a break because I was going to pass out from exhaustion. It took me 10 days to get rid of the soreness but I made it. It was a rough debut. We then went to the gym together right after school 3 days a week for 3 months straight. Then, he started to miss some workouts, so I would miss them too because I was too scared to go alone.
Soon later, he would only go to the gym once a week. I had to make a choice :
1
Give up my dream because I'm too scared to go to the gym alone
2
Beat my fear and continue this journey by myself.

You can probably guess what choice I made...

From there, I became obsessed with my gym progression. I started to geek out on fitness content every single day. I learned a lot about anatomy, nutrition, sleep, and training. My geek friend eventually went back to his bad habits and stopped the gym completely. I kept pushing and learning as I saw a lot of improvement in my body. After a year on this journey, People still considered me a skinny guy, But not myself. I knew what was coming. I had gained 15 pounds already. I was 140 lbs!
Then, I graduated from high school. I found a commercial gym, got a 1-year subscription, and kept going forward. However, I hit a big plateau. It felt like I was not gaining any muscle for at least 3 months. I was done with the newbie gains.

Since I had gotten a lot of knowledge from my fitness geeking on Reddit, Youtube, and books, I decided to create a fully structured training plan for myself. To my biggest surprise, it got me past my plateau! This made me confident about my fitness knowledge. So, 3 months later, I made a new one, but with different techniques and strategies. I saw great results again! I got addicted to trying out new training concepts and mixing things up for the fastest possible growth.
Within 2 years of training, thus 1 year of creating my own training programs, people finally started to notice my gains! I was 155 lbs. I was still experimenting to find the truly perfect program. I kept what worked and ditched what didn't
At this point, going to the gym was easy. It was a part of my life. However, I was still considered a skinny guy by some people. I did not like that. I never wanted to hear that ever again.

This desire motivated me to create THE ultimate training program for skinny guys. I did not want to create a program that would stop working after 3 months because of adaptation. I wanted to create a framework that could work forever.

For the next year, I was not just a guy that trains casually to get bigger. I was a constant student, a living experiment. I needed to gather all the possible data to create THE program. During this year, I noted every single exercise that I did. how many sets did I do? what weight did I use? Did I sleep well the day before? What did I eat? How much do I weigh today? Am I sore? I did not miss a single thing.

This year of intense studying led me to create the framework which solved my poor genetics

STAIR PERIODIZATION

Stair periodization is a way of training that I have never seen anyone use. Yet this concept has been a game changer for me. I will not explain everything here as this is just a presentation page. But, the bread and butter of stair periodization are all about growing some muscle groups while putting everything else into maintenance mode. This way, the focused muscles can grow exponentially faster than if you trained them normally. To get away with this with no imbalance, you need to have specified training blocks in a specific order so that at the end of a 3 months period (which I call ''one stair'') all muscles are ''peaked''.
If you don't understand this graphic, don't worry, I just wanted you to see how the progression scheme looks like a stair :)

How did I come up with this ?

At some point during my experimentation year, my shoulders were falling behind in terms of muscle development compared to the rest of my body.
Despite me never skipping my shoulder work, they had not grown for over 1 year. I decided to try something that most personal trainers would never recommend.
I doubled my shoulder work and reduced the workload for everything else by quite a bit for three months.
The results were amazing. My shoulders grew more during these 3 months than they grew for the entire previous years.
What about the rest of my body?  I did not lose any gains. in fact, I felt amazing, my chest, my arms, my legs, they all felt stronger and healthier than ever.
Since my shoulders were not a weakness anymore, I decided to try the same tactic, but for my arms.
For the next three months, my arms grew by 1 inch and I kept my new shoulder gains despite not working them as hard as I did previously.

This is when I realized I was into something HUGE. I thought: what if I could make a program that used this strategy as a pillar?
This is why I created stair periodization.

Here's how my physique looks like now

But, does this work for other people ?

I could not keep this new way of training for myself. I needed to see if a brand-new beginner would respond as well as I did to stair periodization. I decided to get myself a personal trainer certification so I could start living off my passion. As I expected, stair periodization was the key to unlocking men from their ''skinny guy'' genetics. Since I started coaching, I've had an amazing time helping men get confidence in their bodies.
Take Mike as an example. Mike is 6''1 and has weighed 140 lbs his whole life.
In august 2022. He decided that it was time to change. He joined a local gym and contacted me because he felt like the trainers in his gym did not understand the ''skinny guy struggle''. After my first talk with him, I knew that he was a perfect candidate for stair periodization. I got him to start my program and waited in excitement to see his results. How did it go? Well, I will let the pictures talk for themselves.

October 2022

November 2022

From just one stair (3-month training block), Mike went from 140 to 160 lbs. I was not even with him. He simply followed the plan and got these amazing results. Can you imagine what he will look like once he has 4 stairs under his belt? My guess is that he will be 180 lbs before June 2023.

I will keep you updated on Mike's transformation as he will send me new pictures every time he gets through one stair.
The first time we talked, Mike had two false beliefs that his brain had created to justify his procrastination :
I am so far behind everyone else in the gym. My genetics are so bad that it will be embarrassing for me to step into the gym. I need to fix my nutrition first so I am not that skinny when I get my gym membership.
I don't have enough time and motivation to go to the gym. Also, I don't want to pay so much money now because I am scared that I won't follow the plan and I will lose my money. I have tried going to the gym once and I quit after 2 weeks.

These statements were keeping Mike from success. So I positively rebuilt them:

First, you don't even know if you have bad genetics. I don't know a single person that would be jacked with the lifestyle that you have right now.

See how your body responds to 3 months of training and then you can start making an assumption about your genetics.

Second, there is no shame in going to the gym as a skinny guy. Everyone is anxious to a certain degree when training. Even bodybuilders sometimes feel like they are ''too skinny''.

Third, out of all the people in the gym, you will have the best training program. Not once will people see you as a clueless guy. You will make more progress than everyone else and you may even become an inspiration to them. Just give yourself some time.
Think about it: whatever you do with your life, 2025 is coming, and so are 2030 and 2035... You might be thinking that ''3 years is too long. I don't have enough time to transform my body". Everyone has the same amount of time. Sure, you won't be muscular tomorrow if you train today. But if you do it consistently for 2 years, you will be muscular. However, if you take the 1 hour that you could have used to train and use it to scroll on social media, you will not be muscular tomorrow. And you will not be muscular in 2 years either. 2025 is coming. Will you be skinny or muscular?

Also, the best gift I can offer you is to make you pay for what you will get. If I gave it to you for free, would you feel the same level of engagement? Why is the success rate in public schools so much lower than the success rate in universities? Public schools are free. The more you pay, the higher your chances to succeed.

If stair periodization works for my clients, do you think it would also work for you

Let me ask you a few questions.

If you decided to stop your false beliefs from influencing you, took a picture of yourself in front of a mirror, completed one stair periodization block in your local gym, and came back to this same mirror to take a new picture, what would the result be like? Do you think Mike or myself are special? What would YOUR transformation be like?

Are you sick of being called a skinny guy?

Would you like to move toward a more muscular body TODAY?
